Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Solar Panel Installer to join a growing renewable energy company. You’ll be working on a variety of residential, commercial, and new-build projects, helping to deliver high-quality solar PV installations across Wales.
If you’ve previously worked as a Solar PV Engineer, Renewable Energy Technician, Electrical Installer or Rooftop Installer, we’d love to hear from you.

A company van is provided for travel to project sites, and occasional overnight stays may be required (with accommodation and allowances provided).
Role Overview
This is a permanent, full-time position. Since it’s a field-based role, you can expect to work around the Vale of Glamorgan and across Wales.
Candidates MUST have:
- Proven experience installing solar PV systems and carrying out related electrical work
- Experience working on roofs and with a range of roofing materials
- Good understanding of electrical components, wiring, and system integration
- Ability to work at height and handle equipment safely
- Full, clean UK driving licence
The following skills are also desirable:
- Experience in fault-finding and resolving installation issues
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Background in domestic and commercial installation projects
- Excellent organisational and time management skills

Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain solar PV systems and associated technologies to a high standard
- System Commissioning: Commission systems to ensure performance targets and regulatory compliance are met
- Customer Interaction: Provide clear explanations of system operation and respond professionally to customer queries
- Site Management: Work across domestic, commercial, and new-build project environments effectively
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, project managers, and other trades to deliver projects successfully
